IPPA Annual Awards Night 2012

The IPPA Professional Photographer of the Year Awards & Gala Dinner 2012 will take place on Sunday 26th February 2012 at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin.

This event celebrates the best of Irish Professional Photography and is the culmination of the awards programme which takes place throughout the year. There were four awards heats in 2011 and photographers whose images achieved silver, gold or diamond awards were asked to submit prints and portfolios for the end of year judging. These were judged by top Irish and International professional photographers, all of whom hold (at minimum) a Fellowship qualification. There are 17 separate categories with a Best Single Image Award and a Portfolio Award in each category. The IPPA Photographer of the Year is selected from amongst the 17 Portfolio Award winners.

This year, for the first time, there will be awards for the IPPA Student Photographer of the Year and IPPA International Photographer of the Year.

Conn's Cameras are sponsoring our overall winners this year with the IPPA Photographer of the Year Award 2012 winning a prize of a Canon EOS 5D Mk11 camera.. The Student Photographer of the Year will receive €1000 worth of Canon products and the IPPA International Photographer of the Year will take home a Canon PowerShot G1 X camera.
